My journey as an author didn't begin with a desire to be a professional writer, but with an urgency to tell a story that, for too long, had been kept hidden out of shame. It's a story of faith, boundaries, and, above all, about the revelation of a God who defies all our expectations.

Born in Brazil, I experienced firsthand the complexities of immigration. My journey took me from Brazil to the United States as a child, back to Brazil as a teenager, and finally to Canada as an adult, where I am now a citizen. This path was marked by highs and lows, triumphs and profound challenges—themes that form the heart of my debut work. God is not Brazilian.

My training as a psychologist and immersion in various cultures and churches have given me a unique lens through which to analyze human experiences. I am fascinated by the intersection of faith, culture, and the human journey, especially by how our origins shape the way we see the world and the divine. It was this curiosity that led me to explore how the famous "Brazilian way" (jeitinho brasileiro) can sometimes limit our perception of God's sovereignty and greatness.

God Is Not Brazilian is the result of this exploration. It is my honest testimony of how a childhood prophecy and an unexpected vision guided me through a labyrinth of moral dilemmas and moments of despair, culminating in a miracle that redefined the meaning of trust for me and my family.

Today, I live in Calgary, Canada, with my wife, Fran, and my daughter, Alicia. When I'm not working or writing, I'm probably exploring the Rocky Mountains with my family or engaged in some deep conversation about life and faith, preferably one-on-one, as I'm an introvert, but I disguise it well.
